Adnan Javaid, MD FCCP
Dr. Javaid was raised in Eden, North Carolina and is excited to be practicing in the state where he grew up. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, at Chapel Hill. During his medical training, he completed an internship in general surgery at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. At the University of Connecticut, he continued his education by completing an Internal Medicine residency and then stayed an additional year as Chief resident. He completed a combined Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship at the University of Connecticut in Hartford, Connecticut. At the University of Connecticut, Dr. Javaid was recognized as “Intern of the Year” and he was later awarded “Chief Resident of the Year”. He continued his sub-specialization at Drexel University and Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he served as a Chief fellow during his training in Sleep medicine. He also trained at Philadelphia’s St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where he worked with children and helped treat a variety of sleep related issues. Dr. Javaid is quadruple board certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.

Lindsay Boles, FNP-C
Lindsay is a nurse practitioner at Lung and Sleep Wellness Center. She works directly with Dr. Javaid in treating all of our patients for their various types of lung and sleep conditions. For her undergraduate degree, Lindsay attended East Carolina University, where she graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing as a North Carolina Nurse Scholar. She graduated from Simmons University, where she completed their Master of Science in Nursing, while working as a nurse at Duke University. She is from Yadkinville, NC, and enjoys being a part of a local practice in the town of Kernersville helping patients across the Piedmont Triad. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and was invited to join the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society.
Cara Martin, FNP-C
Cara is our newest nurse practitioner at Lung and Sleep Wellness. She has joined our team of providers to work alongside of Dr. Javaid and Lindsay to continue to provide excellent care to all of our patients. She attended Winston-Salem State University and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While there, she was a part of the Dean’s list due to her excellent academic achievement. For her Master of Science in Nursing, Cara attended Western Carolina University and graduated with honors. While completing her masters, she worked in the cardiovascular intensive care unit as nurse at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and was invited to join the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society. She and her family are local to the area and she enjoys getting to impact her local community across the Piedmont Triad on a personal level with regard to their health.
