Dr. Javaid was raised in Eden, North Carolina, and is excited to be practicing in the state where he grew up. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, at Chapel Hill. During his medical training, he completed an internship in general surgery at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. At the University of Connecticut, he continued his education by completing an Internal Medicine residency and then stayed an additional year as Chief resident. He completed a combined Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship at the University of Connecticut in Hartford, Connecticut.
At the University of Connecticut, Dr. Javaid was recognized as “Intern of the Year” and he was later awarded “Chief Resident of the Year”. He continued his sub-specialization at Drexel University and Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he served as a Chief fellow during his training in Sleep Medicine. He also trained at Philadelphia’s St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where he worked with children and helped treat a variety of sleep-related issues.
Dr. Javaid is triple board certified in Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.

Meredith Siler, AGNP-BC
Meredith Siler, AGNP-BC, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner at Lung & Sleep Wellness Center. She works directly with Dr. Javaid in treating pulmonary and sleep disorders. Meredith strives for a patient-centered approach in order to provide evidence-based care that is individualized to every patient. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially being outdoors at the lake or beach.
