
Adnan A. Javaid, M.D., FCCP
Dr. Javaid was raised in Eden, North Carolina, and is excited to practice in the state where he grew up. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During his medical training, he completed an internship in general surgery at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. At the University of Connecticut, he completed an Internal Medicine residency and stayed an additional year as Chief Resident, followed by a combined Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship in Hartford, Connecticut.
At the University of Connecticut, Dr. Javaid was recognized as “Intern of the Year” and later awarded “Chief Resident of the Year.” He continued his sub-specialization at Drexel University and Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he served as Chief Fellow during his Sleep Medicine training, and also trained at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, working with children on a variety of sleep-related issues.

Sheila I. Gonzalez, M.D.
Dr. Sheila I. Gonzalez is a board-certified pulmonologist joining the Lung & Sleep Wellness Center team in late September. Prior to joining our practice, Dr. Gonzalez practiced pulmonary and critical care medicine in Florida, where she was affiliated with Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Baptist Medical Center Clay, Baptist Medical Center South, Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay County, and HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital.
Dr. Gonzalez earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus, where she also completed her residency in Internal Medicine and an additional year as Chief Resident, followed by fellowship training at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus and the Veterans Affairs Hospital.
Dr. Gonzalez is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine, bringing more than two decades of experience diagnosing and managing a broad range of pulmonary conditions. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and is excited to provide compassionate, patient-centered pulmonary care to our community.
Meredith Siler, AGNP-BC
Meredith Siler, AGNP-BC, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner at Lung & Sleep Wellness Center who works directly with Dr. Javaid treating pulmonary and sleep disorders. Meredith takes a patient-centered approach to provide evidence-based care individualized to every patient. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially being outdoors at the lake or beach.
